THE annual Sunfoil threeday 20/Twenty tournament, showcasing U 11 cricketing talent in the province, will be played at Kearsney College at the end of the month.
Fifteen primary school teams are participating this year, including new comers from Somerset in the Cape and Ashton from Ballito.
Teams competing this year are from Winston Park, Highbury, Hillcrest, Kloof, HCA Curro, Westville, Northlands, Chelsea, Umhlali and Ashton College, as well as St Charles and Pelham from Pietermaritzburg, Somerset Cricket Club and two development sides from the KZN Cricket Union.
All the games will be played at Kearsney College.
Once again Sunfoil are the main sponsor, with additional support from Betts Construction through Kingsmead Mynahs.
The tournament kicks off on Friday, 30 September and runs through to Sunday, 2 October. Teams will play in pools of eight and play seven games in the three days, promising nonstop cricket for the weekend.
There will be ample secure parking available, as well as refreshments from the Kearsney coffee shop for those wanting to enjoy a fun day of primary school cricket.
