KZN Mynahs Invitation team selected
KZN Mynahs Invitation team selected
Date: 2011-11-15
EACH year an invitation cricket side made up of players who will be returning to school the following year, is selected by the Kingsmead Mynahs Club. These are boys who were not selected for either KZN Coastal or Inlands teams.
There are no quotas and the 13 boys selected were chosen on merit from the 40 players who arrived for the trials. Some of the players possibly lost out on selection for the provincial side because the quota of six players of colour had to be met.
The team will play as the KZN Mynahs Invitation team with a couple of matches against the provincial teams as warm-up practices for the latter. They then have further games against club sides. - Supplied.
